Unlike some couples, we didn't have a pre planned first dance song so it was a process to find just the right song that fit us, our dancing style (or lack there of), and our wedding. We started by thumbing through our play lists and each picked some personal favorites. But after playing them for each other there weren't any clear winners but Annie did enjoy some laughs at my rather large collection of sappy love songs by the likes of John Denver, Richard Marx, and Whitney Houston.
After the laughter died down, we realized that instead of picking a song that was meaningful to one of us, we should try and find a new song with no prior connections. We asked our friend Ms.Google for some suggestions and after a couple hours of poking around, we stumbled on Bobby Darin's song 'More' and we both instantly knew it was perfect for us, our dancing style, and our wedding!
Here's the video for you to enjoy with us:

@Norah - It was a semi slow dance. not much of a themed dance though. Glad you liked it!

Congrats on your wedding. I love this song as well... not much of a dancer, either. What dance did you do to the song?

I love your pic. My Fiance and I were thinking something by Bobby Darin. Because my fiance would always dedicate a song by him to me if we went out to a karaoke bar. we just never could decide.
we were thinking of beyond the sea, but i think i'll suggest more now that i've heard it.
thanks
and congrats on your marriage

You could follow this up with the song "Love" (L is for the way you look at me; O is for the only one I see) which is from the same era and would be perfect!! I remember my Dad singing both of these songs around the house in the 60's.
